Tonight, was the penultimate rehearsal for our ‘Heart Beat’ concert on the 18th July at the New Longton Hope Methodist Church. Although we were missing the majority of our second soprano section, it was a very productive rehearsal.
We began with the Beatles, In My Life, a song we have been a bit unsure of due to the tricky timing of ‘doo’s’. However, our fantastic soloist Janet did a superb job and I personally think it made us all try even harder to do the song justice.
In fear of revealing our entire programme, I shall refrain from telling you what else we sang through this evening… What I can say though, is that this concert it going to be epic. Some of the pieces we’re performing are some of the most beautiful arrangements I’ve ever heard. Then, add in the fact that violinist Jonny Hoyle is to accompany us. It really will be one you don’t want to miss.
Tickets are still available via the following link https://wegottickets.com/f/22299 , from Origin Pets in Longton or on the door. We hope to see lots of you there, let’s raise some money for such a worthy cause!
