We've been fortunate to have heard many amazing pianists over the years at KTB Music lunchtime recital but Madalina Rusu is in a class of her own. The virtuosic skill and emotion with which she paints such vivid musical images using the piano has been incredibly special to hear.
The performance, technique, words, piano, forte and scalic have all taken on new dimensions while listening to Madalina's fingers flutter through Chopin, Liszt, Schumann, Brahms and Rachmaninoff effortlessly.
And my, what a programme she put together. We were transported across Europe through the 1800s and beyond, including a quick fly-by the interesting potential love-triangle of Robert and Clara Schumann and Johannes Brahms.
Just fabulous, from the first note to the last.
Thank you Madalina Rusu! We can't wait to have you back again.
