The time has finally come for our Postponed Last Night Of The Proms Concert!

Saturday evening was an amalgamation of brass mastery, British bangers and flag waving mayhem. The KTB adult singers, KTB Youth, Lostock Hall Memorial Brass Band, Lanky Stuff and soloist Katy Bradley all came together in aid of Galloways, to create an evening no one will be in a hurry to forget.

Longton St Andrew's Church, with their fabulous acoustics, was a treat to perform in. With the choir in the stalls, the KTB Youth taking up the front and the band squeezed in amongst everyone else, a 'wall of sound' could be used as a descriptor... With pews filled, audience members dry (the addition of a roof to this concert was a win!!) and Union Jacks ready to be waved, we were away!

The programme included modern tunes, like Katy Perry's Roar and Hold Back The River by James Bay, slightly older pieces such as There Once Was A Man, Lanky specials with the Handyman Song and a showstopping selection from the Lostock Hall Brass Band. Please check out our Youtube Channel to hear their rendition of Fire in the Blood, it's not one to be missed!

Galloways, our local sight loss charity, produced a fabulous stand within the church where experts were on hand to explain the vital work they do. They even had sight loss simulation glasses to further our understanding of what people struggling with sightloss experience. Fantastically, we managed to raise £282.81 for this excellent cause.

A night to remember!
