On Saturday night, the KTB Voice had their annual July concert, this time in aid of Heartbeat. The programme featured songs all to do with light, laughter and love (all things vital for a healthy heart). The concert took place in New Longton Hope Methodist Church, with the hall being used for refreshments and fundraising during the interval.

We had everything from raffles and Lucky Dip Bags to Bagatelle. Rivalries formed both quickly and intensely... Prizes were won and a fantastic £320.01 was raised!

A few very big thankyous are owed here. Firstly, to all those from other choirs who gave up their time to run stalls, donated prizes and purchased heart pins during rehearsals, the total raised would not have been possible without you! Thank you to everyone who came to watch on Saturday. The Voice is a small choir, having a large audience to perform to is a real treat.

There are many other thanks owed, but I'd really like to highlight the fantastic group of women who get together most Monday evenings to sing in harmony. This concert felt vocally solid, but more importantly than that, how cool is it that we created such beautiful sound whilst having a giggle every week!

If you'd like to immerse yourself in more things 'KTB Voice', keep an eye on our Youtube Channel where concert videos will be uploaded soon. And, if you'd like to be a part of this bubble of harmonious fun, get in touch! We meet most Mondays 8.15pm - 9.15pm at Midge Hall Methodist Church, Leyland.
