A musical events team in Little Hoole is celebrating 10 years of their recital offerings with a spectacular lunchtime of free music featuring a string orchestra.

KTB Music, which is based in the picturesque Lancashire village, will be showcasing the talents of Ward's Stone Orchestra on 3 September at St Andrew's Church, Liverpool Road, Longton. The orchestra, conducted by Helen Harrison and led by Alexandra Stemp, will be performing pieces by Elgar and Barber, plus other classical string favourites.

The music school and events company has now hosted a monthly lunchtime recital for a full decade, enabling hundreds of people from in and around Longton to enjoy live music in the beautiful and acoustically ideal century-old church. Making this anniversary recital free to attend is a mark of celebration and recognition of how live music has a special ability to bring people together.

KTB Music founder and artistic director, Katy Bradley, said: "We are so excited to be celebrating the fact we've been bringing amazing musicians from all over the country to Longton, for a whole decade. It's a privilege to pay a small part in the live music industry and enable these wonderfully gifted individuals to make a living doing what they were born to do."

This free event is suitable for all ages. Entry to the concert will be at 12:30, for a 13:00 start. Tickets can be booked online at https://wegottickets.com/f/18025. For more information, contact KTB Music on 01772 933042.
