The warm ups tonight were great. Katy told us when to breathe, which was really good for me as I don’t normally think about when to breathe so it made me focus on it. I hope we have more of those in the future. Katy also brought dynamics into the warm ups, which was also useful because sometimes the dynamics get lost as we concentrate on the notes.

Tonight’s practice was the last one in this ‘term’ and we handed in our music at the end of the session. So we sang everything except ‘Happy Together’. It seemed a bit sad leaving out that song but it was good singing everything else. We worked on ‘Evening Star’ for a while but mostly we sang through the rest without needing to work on any individual bars. Most people were glad to say goodbye to ‘Corn’ but ‘The Hallelujah Chorus’ had the opposite effect and we hope it comes back soon. It isn’t an easy piece of music to sing but it is so uplifting it is good to do and it sounded amazing considering we haven’t had it out of the folder recently.
