The choir rehearsal this week was a run through of the concert for next week (15th December) which we’re all looking forward to, especially as we’ve now been told that the church (St Andrew’s at Leyland) will be warm and there will be refreshments!
We’re very community minded at the KTB choir and were reminded to please bring a raffle prize as there will be a raffle to raise money for the local hospice. We also have a food bank at choir, which is part of the bigger KTB food bank and this is added to every week.
So after a fairly short warm up we started with the well-known carol “O Little Town of Bethlehem”. As we’re supporting the audience singing this it isn’t one we’ve practised each week but it’s a lovely carol which we’ve done many times before and we enjoyed singing it. There were 3 other carols from the carol book that we’re singing with the audience, all familiar and so don’t need a lot of practising. Always good to sing through the old well-loved songs.
We spent the next hour singing our hearts out running through the programme and it sounded like we were all enjoying ourselves. I think we left feeling confident that the audience will be given a good concert next week.
