Last night was our final rehearsal before our Heart Beat concert on Saturday 18th July at Hope Methodist Church in New Longton. It can sometimes feel a little manic at a final rehearsal as all the pre-concert nerves come jittering out as you begin to second guess pieces you thought you were confident with. However, I’m happy to report, that last night was mainly smooth sailing!
We decided to go through our programme from top to bottom and anything we felt we hadn’t sung through in a while or felt could be one of our weaker pieces, we had a good go at. What was a pleasant surprise is that some of the newer pieces that we’ve only had a few weeks to work on were actually very strong (including In My Life which you can see a snippet of in the video at the bottom of this blog post).
As rehearsal drew to an end and “see you on Saturday” was excitedly passed around the room, I felt true excitement for our upcoming concert. What a fabulous way to raise some money for Heartbeat NWCC whilst getting to sing with such a lovely bunch of people.
