Tonight’s choir rehearsal was an exciting session as we tackled many a new song, in preparation for our July concert. Firstly, we sang through some familiar favourites, such as Heartbeats, Moon River and Eurovision’s Heroes. Following that, Taylor Swift was both a surprise and a slight hilarity, as we mumbled our way through Shake It Off. I personally cannot wait to polish that one up! Light of a Clear Blue Morning was a melting pot of beautiful harmonies, complex speed changes and Dolly Parton charm. Try has such an important message behind it, and Hope is a Thing With Feathers is completely unique from every other song in the programme.

Harry came to play for us again this week, allowing Katy to sing with the soprano ones. He’s quickly becoming well acquainted with our madness, and I have to say, flourishing in it!

As the Proms concert is quickly approaching, many a conversation was taken up with a buzz of excitement for the weekend. It’s always fun when the KTB Choirs come together & you get to catch up with those ‘concert friends’ you only see every few months! Bring on next week!
