Tonight’s choir rehearsal was a lively and productive final push as we prepare for next Monday’s Christmas Carol Concert with the KTB Choir. There was a warm, steady focus in the room as we worked our way through a full run-through of the entire programme, giving us a clear picture of how the concert is shaping up and where those last bits of polish were still needed.

As expected, Deck the Hall demanded a little extra attention. We spent some time note-bashing the trickier passages, making sure everyone felt secure with the harmonies and confident about the entries. It was one of those pieces that just needed a collective reset and a focused run, and by the end of the session it felt noticeably tighter.

A couple of the other songs also benefited from an additional rub-through. Nothing major, just those small moments where a refreshed sense of timing or blend helps everything lock into place. Each revisit added a layer of confidence, and you could really hear the improvement as we went along.

Overall, it was a successful and encouraging final rehearsal. The voices were strong, the atmosphere was positive, and it feels like we’re in a great place heading into next week’s concert. With one more big performance on the horizon, tonight’s work was exactly what we needed to bring everything together. Here’s to a joyful and confident Christmas Carol Concert!
