It was a lovely warm evening after a beautiful day and it has put everyone in a giddy mood. Didn’t really need a warm up at all!
Had a go at “Heartache tonight“ and lost our way somewhat as we made the attempt. All went back to our individual parts at the beginning of the song. We have even changed some of the notes to make it easier for the altos to hold their tune.

Living on a prayer, the Bon Jovi song was next. This is not known by all the choir but it is a very catchy tune, so hopefully it will soon become familiar and we will enjoy the challenge of the unknown. We kept pushing on and managed to get all the way to the end. Other groups have the tune: sometimes I wish I could sing with them...

Eye of a tiger came next and we sing together for lots of this and we like having the opportunity to do this. It was getting rather complicated towards the end so we have lots to do. Katy wants to bring us some new music after Easter so she wants us to nail what we have now: no pressure then!

Wonderful world was great. We sang it all the way through and Katy just played without having to pull us up at all, we all enjoyed the performance.

The night finished with 3 very different songs , Invsible String (Taylor Swift), Barnyard Jamboree and I can’t help myself. We are making good progress and becoming more confident with them all.

A beautiful song Clouds was our finishing piece and it feels quite emotional singing this, it is a lovely song.

Katy thanked us for brightening her day and helping her over the hump of the week. Another great session among friends.
