Please forgive me, reader, as I have been told that this blog should be true to the spirit of our chorus, and therefore I need to open this inaugural KTB Musical Theatre Chorus blog post by talking about fruit. Bananas and mangoes, to be exact, and their strange hold over the warmups right now.

I know... you came here to find out what we sing. You came here expecting to read that we revisited our festive favourite "There Is A Santa Claus" from Elf: The Musical, or that we inadvertently ended up proving how fast we can sing all the wiggly bits in glo oooooo oooooo oooooo oooooo ooooo oria. You're thinking that if we worked on a chorus arrangement of "Tomorrow" from Annie that sounds incredibly pretty, we should at least mention it.

All of those things are indeed true. But back to bananas and mangoes. There are two bananas for every mango. Oh, and one watermelon to break things up a bit. There's a bit of choreography involved, too, so it both looks and sounds like some sort of magical chant. It's apparently a sneaky way to teach us rhythm. But it is also making us twitchy in the fruit aisle. Well played, KTB. Well played.
