Close up the studio. Collect the stray water bottles. Hand in that giant stack of elf-themed music, and join us out in the chilled December evening air for hugs, tears, and see-you-next-years. Chorus is over until 2026, and we are so ready for a break, and as many mince pies as we can eat. We already made a start during our (hilarious, obviously) end-of-year party this evening.
We know what’s on the schedule for next year^, and it’s going to be awesome. If I’m still being allowed to keep writing these slightly unhinged blog posts, I will return with more updates on our shenanigans. Maybe you, dear reader, will walk through the studio door to join us? Maybe we’ll go on tour? Maybe Katy will block my messages, or at least ask me to stop shouting her out in almost every blog post? Who knows! We have a fresh year ahead of us. Anything could happen.
I think I can safely say, from everyone at KTB Music Theatre Chorus: a huge thank you to the inimitable Katy Bradley and everyone at KTB Music for another brilliant year of singing and laughter, and another huge thank you to Chorley Theatre and St Laurence’s Church for hosting us. We wish everyone a very merry holiday season, and a happy New Year!
^ I say “we know” like anything is set in stone around here… We may get extra surprises! It’s happened before.
